Alice Oseman, an English Literature student at Durham University, is set to release her debut novel Solitaire on July 31.

The novel, written when Oseman was 17, was sold to HarperCollins for a six figure sum after a bidding war, and was inspired by coming of age favourite The Catcher In The Rye. Likened to the work of Oseman's fellow young adult writers John Green and Rainbow Rowell, Solitaire focuses on protagonist Tori Spring as she deals with A-levels, university applications and a mysterious online community of anarchists known as 'Solitaire'.
